General

1) What is Adventure City Games?

We create unique experiences that let you explore the city using your smartphone. Our adventures combine elements of treasure hunts, walking tours, and escape rooms, and are all enjoyed outdoors! You won’t need to enter commercial areas or interact with the public during the games. We offer our games in both English and French.

2) How does it work?

It's very simple. Upon purchasing any of our games, you have the flexibility to play anytime within the next 12 months. When you're ready, simply go to the starting point and launch your game using the link provided in the activation email. Follow the instructions in the email, and the rest will be a surprise

3) How much does it cost?

The regular price per player can be found on each game page.

4) How long do the games last?

The games can last anywhere from 1 to 2 hours, depending on your pace as you progress through the game. There is a time limit of 30 minutes for each puzzle.

5) Do I need to install a mobile app to play our games?

No, there is no app to install. We send each player an activation email that will instruct you on how to launch a game.

6) How many players can play together in the same game?

Bring Everyone Along for the Adventure! For groups larger than 10, split into smaller teams and start 3-5 minutes apart. Elevate the excitement by competing against each other and racing against the clock!

7) Can more than one person play on the same cell phone?

Yes, but in order to have the best possible experience, it is recommended that each player plays on his or her phone. So everyone can be active during the game.

8) Can we play without a cell phone?

No, your cell phone will be your best ally in answering puzzles. It will also be necessary to answer the riddles through our web application, check your e-mails, access the Internet or even answer a call...

9) Do we need to reserve a time to play?

No, this is one of our advantages: you don’t need to book a specific time to play. After purchasing a game, you will have 12 months to start your adventure whenever it suits you. You can play on any day of the week, at any time of the day. However, we recommend playing before nightfall, as some puzzles may require you to read signs and observe building facades.

10) Can I play at night?

Yes, you are free to start your game whenever you want! However, we do not recommend playing at night as some puzzles can become very complicated in the dark.

11) What do I need to do before playing a game?

Before going to the starting point of a game, make sure you have fully charged your phone's battery. We also advise you to take a pencil and paper with you, as it may help you during the adventure.

12) What is the refund policy?

Our top priority is ensuring that you have the best experience possible. If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with your activity once it's completed, we are committed to rectifying the situation to your satisfaction. However, please note that we cannot issue refunds for adverse weather conditions, street closures, or other circumstances beyond our control. Additionally, refunds are not provided for unused tickets, and our tickets remain valid for up to one year.

13) Are the games suitable for everyone?

Our games are designed to be played by as many people as possible. However, children should be accompanied by an adult because our games take place on city streets and some of the puzzles may be difficult for them. In addition, because time is limited (30 minutes per puzzle most often), people with reduced mobility or visual impairments may have more challenges. If you are in doubt and think that a game may not be suitable for one player, we recommend that another person accompany him or her. You can play with more than one person on the same phone at no extra charge.

Technical Support

1) I bought a game but I didn't receive the activation email, why?

Sometimes our emails might end up in your spam folder or Promotion tab. To make sure this does not happen, you need to log in to your email provider and add "noreply@adventurecitygames.com" to your safe sender list.

2) How do I change my email address?

Please write to us with the email address you used + the new address and we will make the changes to your game.

3) How do I change my cell phone number?

You will be able to change your cell phone number before playing by clicking on the "Start your game" link from the activation email..

4) I can't launch my game, why?

Your activation link is probably no longer valid. After purchase, you have 12 months to launch your game. Your activation link is also for one-time use only. If you want to play again, you need to purchase a new game session. If you are sure that your activation link is valid, please check that your cell phone has not lost the Internet connection.

5) I'm stuck and I can't solve a riddle, what can I do?

You will have the possibility to receive hints by sending HINT. You can also use Google or other search engine during the game.
